If we change this Privacy Statement in a manner that materially impacts your privacy rights, we will provide notice to you. Your continued use of the Sites, connected services, or our dealership after any modification to this Privacy Statement will constitute your acceptance of such modification.

Application of this Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement applies to Personal Information that we collect through the Sites, in-store, through digital automotive platforms (such as the My BMW App or ConnectedDrive portals), and when you contact us or interact with our services.

Note on Connected Vehicles & BMW Canada: When you purchase, lease, or operate a BMW vehicle equipped with connected technologies or register a My BMW account, your data is also governed by national standards set forth in the BMW Canada Privacy Policy (www.bmw.ca). Where specific connected vehicle features, digital keys, or telematics are used, BMW Canada acts as an independent or joint data controller with respect to manufacturer-level diagnostics, safety notifications, and vehicle software updates.

Information We Collect

We collect information when you provide it to us. We also collect information about you through automated technologies on our Sites, connected vehicle systems, and from third parties (including BMW Canada). When we link information to you that was collected through automated technology, we treat that information as Personal Information.

If you do not want your Personal Information collected, please do not submit it.

Automated information, Connected-Vehicle Telemetry, and Cookies

When you visit or interact with us, or drive a connected BMW vehicle, we, BMW Canada, and our respective Affiliates and Service Providers may use technologies that automatically collect information about how you access, navigate, and leave our Sites or utilize vehicle features. We do not use cookies to access personal files on your computer.
  • Flash Cookies: Certain features of the Sites may use local stored objects (Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation.
  • Web Beacons / Pixel Files: Pages of the Sites and promotional emails contain pixel files or web beacons to manage online advertising programs, count users who have visited specific pages or opened an email, verify system integrity, and recognize your browser across other websites (including retargeting ads for Bavaria BMW and BMW Canada models).

Google Analytics: This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to help analyze site usage. The information generated by the cookie (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
